Product Engineer

This exciting role includes...
  • Creation and maintenance of product technical files and specifications on new and existing electrical and mechanical products.
  • Inspection and approval of product conformity documentantion.
  • Dealing with company internal product enquiries with regard to documentation.
  • Creation and upkeep of administrative spreadsheets and technical files, and declarations of conformity.
  • Provide support for the test engineers and company personnel relating to product standards and directive conformity.
The ideal person should have an engineering knowledge of electric and mechanical power tools and light industrial machinery. They will have been working for a testing organisation or within the product development section of a company involved in checking and testing product to the latest EN standards.

All applications must be from candidates who currently live within a 45 minute journey of the office in Leyton, London E10. We regret we are unable to consider candidates from a background of IT and Electronics. This is a full-time office based position with no weekend working. Salary negotiable.

Test Engineer

The varied duties will involve product safety and performance testing of a wide range of power tools and workshop equipment, and include...
  • Technical assessment of proposed design changes to existing products.
  • The assessment of new product samples for introduction into the product range.
  • Creation of product sample test reports and technical specification.
The successful applicant will be familiar with the design, construction and use of electro-mechanical power tools and light industrial machinery, and be able to communicate on a detailed engineering level with internal and external contacts.
